Since starting the company in 2019, we've worked consistently to develop its brand and identity. After a few initial years, I took on the role of creative director to elevate the brand further.

The main goal has been to create an identity that feels creatively exclusive, yet still young and relevant. Updating our visual identity each year, this latest edition focuses on a clean, simple look that allows the videos and images to take center stage. To give these sleek visuals a unique touch, we introduced a friendly, edgy tone in our wording—like having a conversation with friends.

"Another F*cking Production Company" became our trademark, resonating with people because it broke the mold. While other companies focused on inflating their image, we embraced a humbler, more honest approach, and that attitude stuck with clients and collaborators alike. We even made merch—hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, stickers, and caps—and sent them out to clients, friends, and co-workers, keeping the brand memorable and relatable.I aimed to create an atmosphere of constant experimentation, hoping to attract more experimental projects. We made our own 3D animations, printed event invitations and Christmas cards using scanners, and even crafted Christmas cards that cursed at you.

Additionally, I wanted Unik to become synonymous with creative excellence and refined taste, so I developed a creative newsletter called CAPSULE. You can read more about it here, as it’s a significant project in its own right.

As a newer and younger company in the business, we focused on both building a brand and creating a community. Working on a range of film productions and other projects, we’ve collaborated with many talented freelancers, but often found it challenging to form a genuine team connection when the work wasn’t consistent.

In 2022, we launched a running club called “Another F*cking Running Club” to add a touch of humor to the concept of running clubs. We trained together weekly, created merchandise, and ran the BACH half marathon in Aarhus as a team.

We also held events to foster connections among our team, industry colleagues, and freelancers—not only for future projects, but also to build relationships on a personal level, which we found led to better teamwork.
